I was feeling pretty crap getting on the plane cos its sort of a stark contrast when you compare the fun I've had in Sydney to the study which has to be done in Brisbane and I kinda know that sc won't be able to distract me nor will facebook this semester as the idea of failing looms ever so close the closest its ever been. or rather failing and repeating. I guess that is why I haven't looked so intently on returning to uni.
anyway i'll try to remember everything that happened in sydney this last 3 weeks.
So lets start in brisbane actually. The final exam finished and I don't remember ever being so excited to jump on a plane i guess it is the rush that comes with doing so many big things in a short time finishing an exam packing then flying out all withing 2 hours or an hour and a half!
So it was all quite rushed and in the end i had to wait about 40 minutes but I met Sonya at the airport and decided to race her to Sydney as she was flying jetstar and i was flying virgin. even though her flight was 10 minutes later than mine, i think she won cos mine was delayed. i got complimentary pay tv for the flgiht though. The flight was at 4pm so by the time it arrived in Sydney my breath was taken away by the beauty of sydney during the night while we landed.
It is gorgeous.
SO SO glad i got a window seat :D but there were a two people sitting next to me and it was the first time that I had ever actually talked to someone else on the plane. Its actually quite fun finiding out why they are flying to Sydney and what they're doing :D
so after that I went to the 10 minute free parking zone for picking people up. it was quite exciting and ....cold at the same time because allen was picking me up after his final exam :D so i waited there and found kirby and adam in the car as well! amazing!!
so we had a little catch up and made fun of allen while he was driving so he couldn't really come up with that many comebacks :P it was a nice trip and mum decided to go to cook's hill for dinner and invited my friends along so we went and got a table for all of us and got some juice...i think it was juice anyway and dinner. i think most people finished theirs :P i remember angela getting well done and i was like WHAAAAAAT and allen's medium rare being a lot more on the rare side than the medium side hahahahahaha. for some reason eating half your meal as well done and half as medium rare makes it worse than just eating it medium rare hahahahahahahaa.
jennifer gave one of her 2 steaks to alex and i was like oh i'll wait for mum to get one of hers....i never got it she ate them both hahahahahah jennifer and i had a quiet laugh about that as we were both amazed that mum could finish it and that my plan had failed.
so then we went home and i unpacked with jennifer making many remarks that i am wearing clothes. thanks for that jennifer :P
so the next day was sunday and i don't really remember it terribly well because there weren't that many amrkers i just remember mum saying that she'd be surprised if in dad's week off we managed to get the 2 basins she bought installed. we managed to surprise her alright :D however it did pretty much take the whole week lol! no instructions and going off on tangents and realising so many thigns were wrong really takes time to figure out hahahahaha
i'll walk you through it. so we got the first sink from the garage out and brought it into the house. we pulled the old one apart and cleaned up around it...a lot of dust and for some reason rust was there..... so after that we decided we had no idea where all these screws and all these bolts and how to use the hangers..... so i jumped on youtube and looked around. to no avail. it pretty much showed me that there were about 200 different ways to install a basin and they all used different tools to what we had.
so by the end of the day i just marked out where the sink would go with a few reference marks and i had bought about half the stuff we needed...but i didn't know that.
there was no hacksaw but there were blades so i decided to cut the pipes by hand....literally every single time i cut it it took about 5 minutes whereas with a hacksaw it'd take about 20 seconds....don't know where we put it hahahahahahaha along with the 20 blades it came with. had to work with one :P
so that was the first one sort of planned out. i went to sivieng's house and we watched 300 and some starcraft. its kinda depressing when you see pros play and you see yourself play hahahahahaah. and 300 we kinda bad the 3rd time i watched it lol!
basically it was at 6pm when i think tony suggested we go to kevin's (sivieng cos there are 2 kevins) house and i had to be late cos i was finishing up on the day's work so then i went and found tehy went for a kfc run.....hung out with tony because he's vegetarian or vegan not even sure anymore hahahahahahaha. and we watched starcraft. the guys came back an hour later don't even know why they bragged how they got into 200 fights with lebs and niggers.....i kinda don't eblieve them hahahahaahah so while they ate their wicked wings we watched some 300 cos it happened to be on tv at the time.
i had my ice cream. when the movie finished i decided to dirve home and everyone else decided to leave. we left by the side way and omg it was so freaking cold and the ground was freezing cos i left my shoes at the front door omg my feet became blocks of ice. it was also really dark in the 10 - 15 between the front and abck yard hahahahahaha. it was so dark that when i stopped someone from behind me walked into me...you could not see anything!
so i drove home and then had a shower and went to bed. the next day i bought the other things i needed to in order to get the sink to work. that mean getting a connector for the pipes between the drainage pipes cos we were replacing the one downstairs cos its metal and gross... had to kinda break some of the cement which locked it in place and i have yet to replace it...just never got around to it hahahahahahahaha i'll do it next holidays :P so much crouching.
so after i thought everything was done we turned on the water and....the pipe leaked. it dind't leak last time but that's cos we didn't bend it at the soldered joint so anyway we turned it off shoved some bread to stop the water from interfering with the soldering and we soldered the pipe together and waited 20 minutes before we turned the water on again. it worked! during that 20 minutes wait i got a call from david asking if i was going to leon's. i completely forgot about leon's party and he was going away to china for a couple of weeks so it'd be my last chance to see him so i told dad that i had to go and went. he was fine i mean he could have managed himself but me doing it means he has to crouch for a lot less time hahahahahah
so i got to leon's and talked to david for about 15 minutes before he had to go and chun was going to leave as well but we kinda persudaded him to stay and the three of us (including leon) stayed and watched taken. such a good movie. there were some really inappropraite things which we said that were only really really tangentially linked to the movie but we had such a good time i really think it was worth it :D so much laughing hahahahaahahahah
so that was the first sink done and the first 3 things i did in the holidays. the second sink was supposed to be a lot easier but that didn't prove to be the case. the third trip to the hardware store proved that because we couldn't replace the metal pipe that connected the sink to the drain otherwise we'd have to make the hole int he ground bigger and there was nothing wrong with the pipe unlike the other one..... so we replaced the top half of the metal pipe after cutting it with a metal grinder and had to use that to cut the copper water pipes as well so that we could lift the sink out. found out that there was a lot fo space filler jennifer alex and i had put in about 10 years ago and it was retaining water leading to the wood underneath to rot. also the hinges which we had were meant for this sink and not the other one. it all began to make sense hahahahaha. so anyway the old rust ones took a while to get out and figuring out how to put the sink in took another while so i don't remember what i did that day....i might have gone over to allen's but i suspect that was another day......i really do hahahaha so lets say i just stayed home and chatted to people online and played games :P
the next day i remember quite well because jennifer made remarks about my masculinity as i was playing robot unicorn attack hahahahah that was funny she said omg its a rainbow unicorn that makes rainbows to break stars and WOW there is a dolphin in the mix as well...thomas gosh
she was just jealous!
so anyway we had to cut the wood that the old sink was sitting on because the new one kinda didn't allow it to be there and we figure out how to mount the sink and how to connect the pipes cos this one was really different to the other one...no space to cut the pipes in a circular manner. ended up cutting it in sections about 4 times and then pressing the sides together to get an almost circular shape before putting the connectors on and tightening the bolts really really tight that did the trick :D
the paint dad told me to apply earlier got everywhere kinda ridiculous all over my clothes and stuff hahahahahaha and it still looked terrible because the sink mum bought was too small which mean it dind't fit exactly in the space....maybe they were supposed to be the other way around? i don't know hahahahahhaahah shhhhhhhhhhhh
so i kinda left the sinks where they were and i was ready to do the next job. tiling the area which had been bare for a few years since dad didn't want to put a different colour tile and the one was had were simply too old. it took a week to borrow the tile cutter and tiling equipment from my uncle but after that it was all good the same day i got it and learnt how to tile off youtube hahahahahah that thing is amazing but i didn't do such a professional job cos it just takes so so long hahahaha.
anyway that is a week later and totally destroys a lot of the things that happened in between.
emily and michelle came down from brisbane to visit sydney for a 5 days and i got to hang out with them for 2 of those days. i was late both times hahahahahha ;p
the first day was really really jam packed i have to admit i was so dead tired by the end of it. this was cos i went to manly before going to david's party. so it started off with me buying a 48 dollar my multi weekly....i didn't even travel that much with it only used about 30 doillars worth hahahaha
so i bought it on saturday i remmeber that! we went to manly and it was so so yummy! hahaha that doesn't really make sense does it? I REMEMBER NOW i wasn't late emily and michelle were! hahahaha ;p i sometimes get mixed up like that tut tut
so they had to fork out 13 20 for the tickets to get to manly gosh i didn't even get checked at all should have just boguht students but anyway.... we decided to go to adriano zumbo's cake shop first and we spent about 50 bucks on cake....they're on my facebook dp. i have to say though...
sososososososososososo GOOOOOOOOOOD when you figure out how much work was put into each of them.........geeeez.
i am wondering if i remember enough of each of them to do them justice or not....oh well here goes.
i'll start with the chocolate one
about 200 layers and it combined to be the richest most delicious choclate cake i've ever had. so much so that we decided not to finish it otherwise it'd ruin the flavours of the others so i got to take it home :D i wasn't sure if i could eat the sign on the cake or not so i took a bite out of the....carboard hahahahaha
once we got started we were so amazed at the flavours.
pandan the man was funny there was such a delicious pandan flavour coupled with coconut and lime ooooooooooooo and it looked so delicate as well i think it was michelle's favourite - correct me if i'm wrong
the cocoon was my favourite and emily's favourite. there was a layer of chocolate and with wafer bits incorporated into the choclate. that wasn't the amazing part though. there was like a base which looked like an anzac biscuit but when you got the spoon and pressed at it...it just melted away and you could eat it was the spoon...sort of like porridge but the most delicious sweet coconutty yummy flavour. and that's not all. within the chocolate ball - hence the coccoon name was a banana caramel delicousness. it was truly truly divine i didn't realise how much flavour the caramel gives to the banana
then there was the best chocolate mousse you'll ever eat. it was so light and so so fuyll of flavour and so so rich. there was the hint of coffee...well more than a hint but the base was so so amazing like a beautiful chocolate base which just crumbled away and added so much texture to the mousse *droool but the depth of flavour wasn't that amazing. the chocolate heart in the centre was surprising though hahahhahahahah we didn't realise it was there until about half way though
the last of the cakes was a passionfruit tart. it had the most delicious passionfruit curd i've ever had so so so good. it tasted as though you were eating passionfruit and the base was just yum so crumbly so good so so wow. it was my second favourite one :D
there were some macaroons as well and even though we didn't eat it on the day (next day ) they were so so much ebtter than the macaroons i've had before there were melt in your mouth treats and the flavours just worked together well and if it was just one flavour like chocolate it reminded me of the cake. so rich!
so then we decided that it was so fattening that we would walk along the beach. that kinda went out the window and we just lay there for about and hour hahahahah soooo lovely the day could not have been any sunnier :P
we then actually went around and shopped for a bit but dind't buy anything....the surfer idea doesn't really appeal to me and that is all around manly hahahahahaha
so we were walking around going to ben and jerry's when michelle decided to follow what a kid was doing but take a photo - walk with the water fountain between her legs. while taking the photo i think the three of us realised that the fountain gradually went higher leading to michelle getting a pair of wet jeans hahahahahaha
so we went to ben and jerry's and they didn't have the girl's sizes so they couldn't get a shirt i got some ice cream and it was really nice but not as nice as the cakes hahahahahahaah the cone was as amazing as i remembered :D
so then we went to catch the ferry and i think we were already tired at that stage. quite a few pictures i think were taken til that stage. the beautiful day kept being beautiful and the ferry ride back was just as lovely leaving as it was coming to manly. i don't remember why but there was a lot of sand in our hair hahaha no i was NOT responsible :P
so i had to leave pretty much as soon as we landed to catch a train to pick up allen and ann to go to david's house. i contiinued reading aesop's fables and its actually quite interesting reading the fables we grew up with, really it is and the train ride took an hour and 10 minutes...i should ahve waited another 6 minutes for the one which only took 53 minutes hahahahahah. a few calls and texts and i found out ann was running bit late and allen was playing rome total war hahahaha so i wasn't reprimanded for being half an hour late myself :P
the cake was in my bag for 2 days before alex found it and ate it and commented on how amazing it was :P
went to david's party and it was so amazing. saw people i hadn't seen in 2 years caught up with so many people and actually talked to tan. he's a pretty great guy :D i was smiling just talking to him hahahahaahah not very many people have that effect on me.........right? :P but he's a really funny guy and it was good fun. watched some guy raging for a while on youtube.
i remember quite a few details from the party but i don't think i should really share it...lets just say david's brother is kinda hyper and can be inappropraite but it can be so sosososo funny hahahahahaha
had a really good day that day :D drove home and realised that ice had formed on the car....it was that cold...took a while for the back thing to clear it up but it was cleared and it was all good. so cold but yeah i am sure my driving has improved.
I completely forgot to mention that i got my P's on the thursday of the first week hahahahahaha such an easy test touch when it tells you to slow down and don't touch on right turns easy. 15 minutes $114.
so the next! the next day i went to paramatta to shop and have lunch with emily and michelle. we shopped for about 20 minutes before deciding to have lunch i came a bit late that day cos i wasn't sure what time i was supposed to meet them. they went to see the houses emily had lived in before all 4 of them. so we went to try and find a place and saw an ice skating thing which was tiny and very expensive and we went to an italian place which had a really really really nice pesto and quite a delicious risotto but a lot of cheese was in it. it was 10 bucks for a meal and drink so that was very well priced considering how delicious it was :D we had some macaroons for dessert from zumbo and gosh...YUM
we then went to the medieval fair and when we found out that it cost 10 bucks to get in...and there was only about an hour left of the fair we decided against it and instead talked about eating children while walking towards the swings and slides and stuff in a playground hahahahaha. michelle decided to demonstrate her stability and poise while she walked across a wooden beam :P there is a video and it is like the third attempt that she got it hahahahhahaha i was watching in amazement...and helping her up :P
so we met this kid who was really really really energetic like he flew around all over the place and dragged michelle along hahahahahahaha and we found out that michelle has absolutely no upper body strength as she struggled to get through the monkey bars and couldn't do the double beams at all and then couldn't do a chin up hahahahahahahaha ;p
we then walked along paramatta river and i don't even remember what we were talking about but i remember something about the stomach contracting for some reason.... hahahahahah asbically michelle was showing off her nutrition knowledge :P
we caught a train and decided to walk to my place instead of calling mum for a ride. we played some scrabble because i found out the ps2 controller was broken...WHO BROKE ITITITITITIITITITT
and we looked at banana trees before leaving for sizzler. allen came over and drove jennifer and angela so the 6 of us had a nice dinner at sizzler hahahaha. i remember eating quite a bit and jennife rurnning into a few people she knew but most of all i remember laughing so hard at the home made video that michelle and emily made in bed hahahah that was so funny. it was especially funny when we watched it one frame at a time i won't embarass them but gosh i was clutching my stomach :P
got allen int he car and drove emily and michelle home. i didn't really focus on what they were talking about cos i hadn't really driven that way before but it was alright i hope id idn't get fined for some reason :P
i don't remember what happened on monday or tuesday very well i think i may have stayed home after doing so much in the previous week yeah.....that all happened in a week
so on wednesday i went shopping with allen and bought a lot of junk food and by a lot i mean a lot about 150 dollars of just junk food hahahahahahaah so so good :P
i now know that grain waves and lipton ice tea really do make a party :D as do tiny teddies hahahahahahaha
so on wednesday i stayed over at allen's and watched the football got warned that because they had solar hot water system the hot water might not work that well if we had a shower too late hahahahahahaha
blues lost meh even if they won it'd be meh ;p
i remember planning to sleep early at about 11 ish but ended up talking to allen til about 2 hahahahahahaha that was really funny :P i don't even remember too well what we were talking about but it was must have been interesting to keep me up :P
so the next day my party was starting at 12 and i got there at about 11 30. people came in and out til about 6pm hahah there were about 8 people. we were chatting quite a bit amongst ourselves and played some monopoly and tried to work out a puzzle which chun eventually did. when all the girls left we decided to go to the backyard and demonstrate our manliness by kicking soccer balls around and punching down banana trees and uising those banana trees to break other banana trees and then trying to throw it as far as we could
ben kept wrestling laurence and hanson joined the fray a couple of times. laurence lost his wallet and phone a few times hahahahahahaha that was funny :P and when laurnece had to leave cos his dad called ben was like gimme a hug with his hip fully thrust forwards :P i was laughing so hard!
after laurence refused ben gave him a normal hug...or so he though he got tripped and it was wrestling all over again. tony hanson and i were all laughing so much it gave true meaning to rofl.
adam and allen slept over and i introduced robot unicorn attack to allen and he kinda got addicted hahahahahahaha ;p they had to leave early in the morning...or rather before midday :P and i don't really remember what i did.
OH i forgot about my amazing starcraft party i had the day before my party! one person came becaus ethe nature of starcraft is that you can actually play from home! who would have thought right?
i don't really remember anything til saturday and that was when i thought that the day after was tuesday hahhaha
whatever happened must have been quite boring and this has been such a long long post so i'll just skip to more interesting events :P
tuesday i went paintball and drove allen there. we used the gps but didn't follow it exactly and it was so early in the monring i woke up at like 6 30 and left the house by 6 45 and drove to allen's before driving to heartbreak ridge for paintball ;p
so i decided to get 800 extra ammo and so i had 1000 all up. the first round kinda got me thinking about paintball and the second round kinda got me getting better.
it was really funny cos i had a purple hoodie on which really made me stand out from the crowd but i thinkit relaly helped cos it covered my ears from being completely chaffed by the hard plastic mask thing.
spent about 150 bucks on paintball but it was so fun :D i didn't realise how hungry i was until a whole pizza was put in front of me and i ate it all. drove tony and kp home - the other kevin. there were a few highs of paintball hahahaha i remember shooting through the very small hole and showehow got shot between the overalls and between my hoody sleeve and it hit my wrist area ;p
another one was when i snuck up behind 3 people and was just about to shoot them when a 4th person saw me and just really let it fly i got hit so badly there hahahahahhaha he had the machine gun one :P
thang decided to dance during the second last match hahahahah that was so funny. the rule is you get hit and you leave right? well he just kept dancing hahahahahahahaha oh gosh
allen kept getting out really quickly cos he would just charge the enemy whereas i waited it out and sneak attacked and only died to campers....campers suck!
ummmmmmmmmmm i don't think anything happened til harry potter whcih was the next day ;p baically it was all organised really really last minute like oh wanna see it? awesome lets go. so i drove natalie to granville station cos there was trackwork and we went to see harry potter. i boguht the 8 tickets and met adam allen and ellie like right outside the cinema hahahah they were already in the city. we went for dinner the 5 of us and decided to go to the first restaurant we felt like we could go to. it was an ok priced not very big meal indoensian place but we had so much fun i would really miss days like that again made me remember just how much fun i used to have with these guys. met up with tram angela and sarah and we went to watch the movie. oh also went to 85 degrees so many people lining for cake at like 8 pm kinda ridiculous ;p
so we watched harry potter and it was alright left the cinema at about 11 took a train to granville. i drove adam natalie, angela and sarah home well adam stayed over and we filled petrol. it was actually a really fun car ride even though it was about an hour long hahahahahahaha gosh reminded me of the car ride to jamberoo where getting there was so much fun compared to actually being there ;p
so again we were supposed to sleep early but by the time allen came over it was 1 well by the time i drove him home it was 1 - allen and adam stayed over again we were exhausted. adam had to leave early for work and allen left about 1 30 after lunch ish.... we jhust grabbed like 10 things and ate it...dodgiest meal ever lol and like crumbed chicken breat some vietnamese thing you eat with fish saice, fish sauce, rice and some random shredded pork with noodles and soemthing else....don't remember :P
rest of the day i was just resting i think.... kinda tired from a couple of awesome days hahahaha i found my bruises which i got from paintball that day i didn't realise i actually got them ;p I also remember angela coming over one day but i don't remember the exact day but we had a really nice hour long chat which was funny and fun and i'd do it agian in a heartbeat :P
so then on friday - yesterday i went shopping with tram after she finished her meeting if i knew it'd fnished early i would have left an hour earlier hahahahahaha but oh well i got a scarf which i gaev to alex since he's going to the snow and it is a lovely scarf, a kitwear vest and v neck :D all for under a hundred dollars! and from myer/david jones. we had a nice hot chocolate at max brenner and sat and chatted for a while. met jennifer and ann at event ciniemas - jennifer ebing my sister. and we went to bavarian bier cafe. had THE BEST pork belly roast EVER absolutely amazing melt in your mouth and i combined the custard from tram's dessert with my apple sauce and it was like drinking ambrosia. so good.
so we went home and were surprised to find it was only about 8 pm when we left so got home about 9 30 ish and realised i SHOULD pack but didn't. checked my account and realised that my debit card has been hijacked and lost the rest of my money in that account about 400 dollars. but that was just a ditch in such an amazing holidays :D
oh i remember what i did one of those days. i was feeling bit down and emailing a couple of people cos i failed an exam :( but mum didn't really rebuke me which kinda of shows me how much more of a beautiful person she is and how encouraging she really is
I love you so much mum especially if you have managed to wade through 5000 words to get to this message!
anyone else who managed to get through all that also deserves my love! love you alllllll!
