Visiting uncle mark

Today was a free day, woke up at 9 to do my washing, had porridge for breakfast and burrito for lunch ( i saved it from yesterday muhahahha, nto as delicious after being in the microwave though ;p) then after lunch, aunty susan adn I went to sunnybank to visit uncle mark at sunnnybank hospital. Aunty susan told me he was much better today that yesterday so that was good, from what i saw he seemed normal.

got a bottle of water from the hospital muhahaha!

ran into lily and ting-ha while waiting at sunnybank bus stop, had a little chat before they caught a different bus.

brought my washing in and watched some running man. that show is quite funny and really long, over an hour each episode! well have to start studying for 2062, don't want to do badly in the midsem, that reflects badly on myself! 8 am start tomorrow eughhhh

Free burrito!

So yesterday was midsem day and I did the 2052 exam. It was surprisingly similar to last years which gave me a marked advantage! Afterwards there was quite a bit of discussion about the exam and I seem to have done quite well :D

Lab was interesting, I did what took me 2 and a half hours at the start of lab (Setting 3 teeth) to setting it in 5 minutes. I admit it is probably not perfect but hey, 5 minutes ;p

After that I went to try ands core a free burrito. The line was far too long about a 40 minute wait and because I only had about an hour, I decided to get something else and get the burrito later! Went to maccas in the newly renovated winter gradens...had some amazing chips! Went to preclinic and finished the day's exercise in about an hour out of the 3. i'm getting pretty fast!

After that david and I went to get that burrito and on the way to the bus stop after, got some drinks at supanews , 2 for 2 bucks!

gotta start studying 2062 and do the prac, might go to uni in the weekend cos that sort of thing can't be viewed at home, only on certain computers at uni.

Last couple of days between studying for 2052 midsem!

So I left off on saturday, the dinner went well and on saturday it was quite funny. At 11 20 mum called me reminding me I had uni on monday. We ended up talking for over an hour so her plan didn't really work hahaha.

Yesterday didn't really have much happen except that there is something wrong with the gasline/hotwater system because it turns off for some reason don't know why...

Today at lunch, silvia brought the lock to her locker because it wasn't working, it was a pretty cool lock, the dials spun around and made a clicking sound each time you spun it. anyway after fiddling around with it for a while, haowen figured out how to set a combination for the lock (he managed to guess the number for the lock...there are only 1000 different combinations. Benson decided to put the code as 000 and see how long it took for silvia to guess it...but i said 'I wonder how long it would take for someone to guess 000' and she promptly tried it hahahah foiled!

I was complimented a few times on my purple jumper today! yay I didn't want to take it off in lab even though it was quite warm...darn lab coat hahaha

the drilling exam was today I thought it was on wednesday so that got me a little by surprised but oh well I should be fine finished in about half the allocatd time, the prep didn't look as good outside of the mouth as it did inside haha ;p as always...

I went to learning support asking if I could come in and observe/ assist and they said no...which is quite strange, I have to get written consent by the course co ordinator or something troublesome gosh. I'll work on that in the coming weeks.

2 days in and I didn't blog yesterday hahaha

Hello avid readers!

Yesterday was aunty veronica's birthday (not that i saw her for very long, she went out for lunch and dinner but I did go over to leech internet ;p) Went over for a good 3 and a half hours, Aunty susan enlisted my help to send a text with her mobile. There was trouble because even though she did everything right, it didn't send to Aunty veronica but I called her and sent the text again and it all worked out!

So today I went to the new Carindale shopping centre and even though its open there is a lot of 'this shop is coming soon'. It looks much the same but there is a noticeable difference, its much mroe chic despite having the same shops. There was a store which attracted a lot of attention, it was a shop which had almost nothing in it but the people outside were handing out stickers and for a donation of your own nomination, you get some stickers and you can stick them all around the shop. The kids inside seemed to be having a blast ;p the people handing out the stickers were conveniently looking away (hope they don't have to take out all the stickers lol!

Had a glance around at midseason sale but didn't get anything ;p

Aunty susan is having another dinner for family so it means there is gonna be a lot of food! Uncle mark is set to have an operation on tuesday and he'll be in hospital til friday so aunty susan is going to take some time off from college.

I finally finished sernia's lectures gosh there is so much in those...time to do arugram or whatever his name is. There isn't actually too much to his elctures so its alright!

A brand new year for blogging!

Hello everyone! I haven't blogged in such a long time, about 6 months. So much has happened in the that time!

First of all after the exams which was where I left off, I went back to Sydney and had a blast :D I was not as active as the other years because everyone seems to be getting jobs and having so many other commitments, driving siblings places etc. The holidays were still very enjoyable though :D

I didn't pass a subject last year so I have to repeat the whole year for a subject which would only happen in dentistry :( school policy. So I'm doing the year again! My days are spent very differently this time around, I know what I need to do for each assessment, I know how to allocate my time to get things done but most of all I have much more free time which I can devote to actually reading the textbooks I bought instead of having them sit around.

I went to Japan :D first overseas trip yay! Looking back now, (over 2 months later), Japan is not what I expected an asian country to be, I remember a lot of people around the place working, makes even Sydney look like it doesn't have that many workers hahaha. I miss the snow and the toilets that wash your butt, I'm stuck here using toilet paper but over there I was living the high life man!

A lot of things became ordinary over there which now it seems amazing! For example eating out everyday, living in hotel rooms and seeing snow all the time! AHHHH. The lights at night were spectacular, the cities were beautiful but the DISNEYLAND night parade was gobsmacking, so worth it sitting there for an huor freezing my butt and hands off!

So back to the present. It is currently Midsemester break and I have an assessment every week until the end of semester exams (whethere they are big or not isn't the issue). SO I will need to work hard for those! The marks for this year are averaged with those of last year so if I get a HD then i will get an overall credit for the course which isn't too bad all things considered (I was supposed to get a credit anyway -_-)

I have to interact more with the second years but that is difficult. Not only do I not spend that much time with them (only pracs which are split into groups already) but there are so many repeating students that it makes it hard! I'm sure it'll work out, gotta let them have some time to recognise me haha.

Looking for work as a one day dental assistant with no experience is tough so I think I'll just observe and assist at the dental school for third and fourth years. That will get me acquainted with the system so that I can integrate much more easily next year!

Exams

I am halfway through atm and the 2 exams i've done have varied significantly. the first one didn't want us to write THAT much didn't provide that many lines and people left the exam early. yesterday's one was just insane 9 long responses. wow i didn't know they were so keen to mark so much hahahahaha not only that the questions didn't seem to warrant 15 marks...previously they were only awarded 3 marks!

I hope tomorrow's exam goes a lot smoother! starting with biochem -->mol bio-->microbio then i'll learn some drugs from cheeesman before wrapping it all up with past papers! i hope i can get it all done!!!!

Day before 2062

So the first couple of days of swotvac i did 2022 2052 and did my 2030 question.

Then for the last 3 days i'ce been learning 2062 and geez this stuff is hard i don't think i can remember it all which is a real bummer cos i probably need to hahahahaahha ;p

the lecture notes are so boring so so so boring and the student presentations are too long!

I hope the exam isn't too insane. like last sem would be fiiiine :D
