Temples

So today I woke up at 7 and got out of bed at 8 :P I did my washing and got ready to go to a few temples :D

the first one was a chinese temple and it was soooo serene it was nice and when i was praying i dunno but the feeling of calm overcame me and since i was standing it was weird but it felt a lil light headed which lifted after i opened my eyes...strangely it didn't happen at the 2 vietnamese temples.

At the chinese one, aunty susan and aunty linda met aquite a few people they knew which was funny cos i had no idea who they were :P. anyway we left there sort of quickly and went to a viet temple. we had to park a bit far away cos there were so many people there for an annual celebration thing. Aunties got lots of vegetarian food and there was also free vegetarian food, it didn't taste very good, the dessert was alright though :P after all..it was free

so we went to the last temple and the car was so warm so i was nodding off :P the last temple wasn't really that impressive it was like a home that had been converted to a temple. when you think about it, it is impressive but it doesn't look much like a traditional temple.

so afterwards we went to aunty linda's place-i was nodding on and off again- and the women chatted over tea while i was trying to work out what was happening in the movie. what i saw was a house getting a cracked pool and then the whole house tumbling down a cliff there was some tension in the relationship department as well...so it was kinda meh movie.

got home and had a lateish dinner, bout 7. cut up some plastic stuff for auntie susan to put in the cupboards and had to go throguh a lot of stuff to find her cake baking stuff :P it was metal so it was at the bottom of a big box.

talked to mum dad, bro and sis for 45 ish minutes and now gonna do a tiny bit of work before going to bed by 11.

Impression taking and after

so today there was part of an assessment task, the real actual examination part is on tuesday and friday for me where we trim up a model in other words, make it look pretty, there is some pretty heavy duty equipment to do this so it should be fun :D mine better look absolutely awsome :P

so anyway today i left home 2 minutes late and didn't realise it so i didn't run. this was because i double checked to see if i had everything i needed (which i did). i saw the bus leave and was devastated....meaning a 15 minute wait. I got the the dental school at the prescribed 15 minutes early to find a mass of dental studnets waiting outside...they didn't let us in :P

so forthcoming with this we were all a tad nervous...i forgot what i had to do :P anyway i stuffed up a few impressions and had a few taken of me :P its pretty awesome to have a dental assistant, especially one who knows more that you :P

so then we got the model and poured up pretty much immediately, lest it shrink. i think mine were alright, i mena they didn't turn out like pancakes and i was done in about an hour, about half of that was cleaning up and taking off the impressions from the model.

anyway, from there, sonya, jenny and I just sat and talked for an hour and a half whilst Jenny ate her sandwich and sonya ate her foul babybel cheese. so since i didn't bring lunch, i had to buy lunch, so we tried a sushi place, it was good! yum :D

so after sushi jenny decided to leave and do boring stuff at home - probably nothing - and i wanted to go buy a yellow shirt since i don't have one :P. so i suggested target, so sonya and I went there. once in target, we split up after like 2 minutes and eventually i had to call her and she told me i could ditch her - so i did :P

I proceeded to Myer and looked around for a bit, not much not expecting to buy anything and i didn't.

I went to lincraft and spent a bit of money...not gonna specify how much :P

after that i went to dental school to meet ben and helen but they caxme to myer centre to meet me so i did 15 minutes of uneccessary walking :P. we then proceeded to go guy shopping and it was funny cos basically we went into a store, walked around for 3 minutes, had a look at prices and left :P

rivers wes dodgy, some shoes that looked promising, we couldn't find any probably cos it was too cheap :P

YD had their perpetual 75% sale, some shop i don't remember the name of had this lady who when i asked for ayellow short sleeve she was like we don't have yellow and we don't have shortsleeve...i was disappointed.

anyway the search for the elusive shirt continued and it was elusive and unyielding :P i didn't end up buying a shirt :P

we went back to myer and i bought a coat for $100! mum would be so proud :D even though it is nearly the end of winter...it isn't the end!

went big W where the disappointment continued. we wnet woolies and i found nothing there :P and finially we went to another sushi place that ben's mum says is awesome, ben liked the sushi, i didn't feel like getting another one :P

so i came home and yeah couple hours later i am typing this :D

Tired

well yesterday i slept past midnight cos i was watching heartbreak kid. it was such a waste of time. the previous nights i slept at like 11 and yeah i was pretty tired cos i had about 7 and a bit hours of sleep :P

anyway today was pretty good, all impressions and we have an impression exam sort of thing tomorrow :D

so i woke up and just stayed in a bed for a while which led to me thinking i was gonna be late so i got breakfast in the city. so i had a sausage roll and was like DAMN I NEED SAUCE :P so anyway i went to the dental school and was early :P

first up was some model stuff. so basically i spent half the time picking off bubbles and another bunch of time pouring up some mandibular models. i realise i need to pick off the lingual surface more. also i think i'm going to need to control the instruments a lot more, one slip is disasterous...

Not too much else happened in that lesson, aside from watching a video of trimming which was sort of scary to think that something taking us 20 minutes takes someone experienced about 3 minutes...gosh.

so then we did some alginate models in pre clinic. that was pretty fun cos we did a lot of stuff, we did some alginate models and i'm gonna do that tomorrow...i better not stuff it up...that would completely suck...because i am first on the model trimmer which means i need to be really really pro :P By that i mean i need to have planned everything beforehand :P

So Sonya and Jenny decided to crash that class and use resources...i would have liked to crash a class...except i had to go to another class....so i think i shall have to do some reading and some crashing of classes next week :P i already had an extra class though :P

well there was a lot more clean up and walking around today so i think it was a bit more active today in preclinic. sonya and jenny both finished earlier than me by 10 minutes so i was surprised to see them waiting, thanks girls!

yeah i just went home after that and did a bit of reading and working out how the new oven works :P TIME to do some work!

I fixed my wespac problem :D

morning bank, woolie

woke up and stayed in bed til 9 and left before breakfast to go to up the road to check it out, so i gave the bank my tax file number and that was that. went to woolies to exploit the awesome half price twix :D also decided to buy some lindt gold chocolate that i saw advertised on tv :P

So i got home and had breakfast and left. I thought the bus was coming at 10 20 but it came at 10 30 oh well i found a watch :P

so i saw sonya and jenny as i got off the bus but sonya was leaving so it was only jenny and I who went to the chem lecture, yes, everyone else was 'committed' :P it was an alright lecture and i don't think i need to learn too much more about what we did today :P after the lecture i accompanied jenny to the print room where i drew blood on my finger because the staple wasn't stapled in properly... so there was a smear of blood on my lecture notes, oh well

so afterwards, we went to catch the bus to the city and I was right :D we only waited a minute instead of 10 :P ummmm went to the dent school to chuck stuff down and have some lunch. had lunch and was hearing this lady talking about money laundering :P it was pretty interesting :D

then came ben and helen, theyhad bought some yummy/gross jelly beans...and i think most of them were gross :P nevertheless we had heaps of fun. so anyway i was pretty thirsty so i decided to buy a thick shake. it was sooo good and ben doesn't like them :P he bought one as well :P so anyway i was wondering why the thick shake didn't move when i jostled it around so i jostled it more...and boy did it come out :P sorry for splashing you ben and thanks for all the tissues guys :D

so we decided to go to big W where i bought some floss and needles to practise my hand skilllls. went to woolies and bought more chocolate :D we were all so tired after that for no reason :P

so then we went to the lecture and were about 15 minutes early, the lecture was interesting so i woke up and paid attention, it was more interest that stuff we have to remember :P gross pictures do wake you up :P

Tooth morphology and more

In the morning, i woke a bit later but got to class early, about 15 mins early because the bus came early and it only takes 6 minutes to walk to class and not 10 so yeah. got out of bed at about 7 and was in class by 7 45 :P

the lecture got boring but i kept my interest because i knew i needed to know it.

so afterwards we went to a tutorial and this one looks better. got a lot of questions to practise. on the same note as chem, i realised that i have a quiz due in september and a group work activity called IS-IT due i dunno when and didn't get into the group i wanted oh well.

so had lunch with jenny cos everyone else somehow disappeared and discovered a kitchenette in the chem study/eating area whcih i think looks like lego :D

ummm pretty alright workshop i guess, gosh i shall study til about midnight tonight, been sleeping early to get up early and still ahve 8 hours or more of sleep, tonight i can stay up a bit longer, gotta sleep at 12 or later and get up at 10 :D

oh and not too sure what to wear tomorrow - no i am not being a girl...formal or not -_-

long post

Yesterday i fell asleep...not because i was tired but because i was bored.

so yesterday was pretty normal except we had our first chemistry prac and had a TAA meeting. so basically i woke up and went to chem. that was alright we had another lecturer who explained the concept of entropy much much better, i thought i understood it and now i am pretty sure i do :P probably should look at some stuff to confirm this belief

so i went to the tute and the questions were pretty simple but i learnt about the triple point concept where matter can exist as a solid, liquid and gas at the same time at a specific pressure and temperature so that was quite interesting and also i learn to memorise the graph.....what was the name, i'll look it up :P

so we did the prac and omg it is so freaking slow we were waiting for something for about half an hour or more we filtered about 100ml and it came out a drop at a time :P anyway i don't even know what mark i got either 15 16 or 18 i can't read the writing :P so it looks like chem pracs are ridiculously easy

so after this i went to the TAA meeting, no one showed up for at leastr 10 minutes and i just waited and eventually two others came and we basically did some shizzle and i will probably have to do the team essay A. speaking of which we still have to work out our group for IS IT looks like chloe is in a group of 3 as well. so MAYBE group of 4, then elaine goes to another group and finally one person joins their group or we could just get 2 randoms :P probably the latter option :D

sooo anyway i got home and did some shizzle for a while and then afterwards i had some awesomeness but at 9 o clock i decided to watch a video lecture and fell asleep after an hour :P for 2 hours then got up and went back to sleep after rbushing teeth and turning off the comp...gosh those things are boring

anyway onto today

so the past few days, tradesmen have been going in and out of the house doing stuff and putting new stuff in and stuff. anyway today i thought was the last day, it isn't...someone will come in sometime within 2 weeks for finishing touches on the kitchen but then it should be all good, some glass wall thing or something. anyway today we did some more prr and were suppose to do some fissure sealants. couple of things when ary, firstly, my rubber dams kept breaking which made me really behind :P afterwards, i did everything pretty much on time but didn't finish. i came back for extra lesson later woooo, and learnt auqite a bit and caught up what i was behind in. annnnyway so i guess that is a good thing, i know what to do now and what equipment to use.

so the other practical was the stone stuff which was pretty fun i think, those model trimmers, i dunno how you're meant to go any faster but we need to anyway.... sigh :P so the assessment or rather pouring up is this weekend and i've already voted so its alright! wooooo

yeah not too much to mention about today actually so oh well one long post for 2 days

SUPER SPICY JERKY

woooooo yeah!

anyway today i woke up to mum calling me and her asking if i was in bed :P me - not anymore... but i was just lying in bed not actually asleep. anyway she gave me some motivation to study so i did that sort of :P

so i woke up had some breakfast and found out we were going to redcliffe :D so we were gone for about 3 hours and i got home and cleaned the room and vacuumed and helped with dinner as well as studied!

redcliffe was fun :D even though all we did was eat fish and chips there, the car ride was really nice, along the beach on a very sunny and lovely day, it would have been terrible if i didn't enjoy the sunshine

so then after all that i watched some 60 minutes about some lady who had 8 kids and when she was pregnant...she was pregnant! and about mark latham - coolies

so anyway aside from all that i opened the pack of super spicy beef jerky which was expensive 5 bucks for 25 grams...i HAD to try it, its not THAT bad i mean i pay about 5 bucks fro gelato and that is like 50 grams or something annnnyyywayyy

i ate a tiny bit and could taste some chilli, so i ate more and i like the flavour of the jerky so i had a whole chunk and it is still on my tongue 20 minutes later :P

looked at scott pilgrim vs the world and probably will watch it if everything goes well :D
