yeah yesterday was dentist, today is optometrist and i have nothing inherently wrong with me, still gotta get that stupid tb test thing in 2 weeks time bleh, waste of time lol i don't have tb how can i?

anyway so this morning i woke up at 830 and the appointment was at 9 so i quickly did my thing and left the house. i got there at 8 50 and there was no one there. hmmm weird. anyway so i waited around and he come out and lets me in at 5 to, there wasn't a receptionist, it looked dodgy at first, quite quite dodgy.

he acted as the receptionist and then he brought me into the place where they have teh eye test. it stated out normally enough but then he started doing all these tests i've never heard of, like this air shooting in your eye as you stare at a green flashing light, testing glocoma or something, not sure how to spell that. he also tested my retina by looking at it while i stared at a corner, i was trying not to laugh cos it was so awkward for me cos he was so close and staring at my eye, but it was completely normal to him :P

then there was this red line test where he asked if it was straight through the middle of a light and he measureed my reading length, looked at each eye depth perception and looked at the darkness of certain strips of black paint or something anyway that was new

then he did the old look at the thing, which is better 1 or 2, that took like 2 minutes or something :P

so altogether the test took about 40 minutes, insane! so long

then he started talking to me about different materials and coating for the glasses and other things that you can put on to reduce uv or glare or the materials so the scratches aren't as common, so i basically picked the best of everything for the lenses and picked quite a good pair of frame, so it cost 515 all up and that was with him not charging everything or it'd be 555, so he gave me a further discount for being a student, and then NIB paid 140 so i had 345 out of pocket, i chucked it on my card and it felt good cos i wasn't handing him cash hahahaha even though he was still getting money :P

all up the trip to the optometrist took 2 hours, great fun :D

i went home and enjoyed the company of my laptop and its ability for me to talk to my friends and also entertain me

did some chem, not nearly as much as i did yesterday

had roast dinner, love roast dinner but before was better, the chicken's skin was soooo crispy and yummy now its jsut yummy :P

Thomas goes to the dentist

It was a very bright and sunny day and that combined with the sound of an incessant alarm sound prompted the young man to rouse from his sleep but it was not enough to prompt him to get out of bed. that came 10 minutes later when his family friend quietly whispered
'Thomas, you have to get out of bed, you have a dentist appointment in 40 minutes'

This was enough to get him out of bed despite his only having 7 and a half hours of sleep.

breakfast consisted of some lo han ko - sweet black liquid that is boiled from something round and hard, it can also be bought in cube form :D and some fettucini from last night.

so after brushing his teeth thoroughly, he didn't want the dentist to think that a dental student has grubby teeth, that just doesn't make sense, its non sensical, the very idea is ludicrous.

so then he walked up the road, up the steep hill toward 7 waterton street.

The dental clinic actually looked like a business despite the outside looking like a residential property. inside the receptionist greeted him by his name and he filled in a personal detail and medical history form, there wasn't much to it.

he then followed the dental assistant to the dental chair where he sat down and watched sunrise, this was probably the first time he'd seen it, he wasn't a early waker and when he did wake up early, it was not to watch tv by any means.

so then he talked to the dentist for a bit and revealed his true identity as a dental student, the dentist had graduated form uq in 1975 so he was more than double Thomas's age.

First up, he had a check up, nothing to report, his teeth were fine but there was crowding in the front. second item on the agenda, i had some bitewing x-rays done, my first ever :D. it showed that i had impacted wisdom teeth, one on the brink of eruption but it cant because it is impacted and the second one showed another impacted wisdom tooth but not to the same extent because it is nowhere near the same extent of eruption but i think it is also impacted

so then it came to paying the bill

nooo i forgot to put that 100 bucks in my wallet this morning but yeah...it was ok cos i had some money on debit card and some cash and NIB so yeah. it was 141 but then NIB gave 78 and then i got an awesome discount which i am not too sure why i got it so i had to pay just under 50 dollars, so that's alright esp since i got 2 x rays hehehe

so then i went back home and slept, for 2 hours or an hour and a half. i then played some starcraft, helped auntie susan and had lunch before i got into this awesome chem working mood and just worked, finishing 4 quizzes...well most of them anyway, still got sonya's and elaine's left :P

will do it tomorrow morning.

oh i don't remember if i said so but i couldn't take the tb test because i had a vaccine 2 weeks ago so i will go to get that another day. hopefully...

ummmmmmmm yeah that's all that happened today, watching glee atm and also gonna watch house then do some more work after that :D

Sunnybank was sunny and cloudy and rainy all in a day

so today began normally enough but i got a few phonecalls in the morning



the first came at 7 40 with the receptionist for the dentist telling me that i had an appointment tomorrow...so early.. wlel tomorrow 8am dental appointment, good to force mysef to wake up :P



the second one came at 9 30 with the optometrist telling me that i could come on thursday at 9 am so that means the next2 days i'll wake up early



so i went to the dental school today to get the tb test and i filled in the form...only to find out i was inelligible because i had the rubella shot only a few days-2 weeks ago. so that was a bummer, i have to do it in my own time booo



so anyway i waited around and i kid you not we went in 20 mins later we went out and it was cloudy, then after that the stupid weather became worse, we shouldn't have gone to the library. All the factors accumulated, for example elaine coming late, helen doing her rc etc made us get caught in the rain and as a result get splashed by the car - sorry sonya



that however is a funny story :P



we walked down the stairs and saw the rain start....so i shared sonya's umbrella since i didn't bring anything with me aside from keys, wallet and phone. so anyway i was talking and walking backwards or something and didn't see the car come, sonya yelled and i was like whaat? and the car splashed us....that wasn't cool it was funny cos in that situation all you can do is laugh...except sonya who kept half angrily giving me looks cos i didn't get out of the way.



anyway jenny and elaine got a little wet as well but they didn't complain :P the water wasn't really that dirty but i was gonna go home anyway, i ended up not going home because by the time i got to the bus station saw i had to wait 22 minutes and also i was half dry.



so we went to sunnybank for hope of better weather.



it wasn't pouoring when we got there, light sprinkle but later it did rain, we were under shelter so that was alright and when we had lunch, it was sunny in sunnybank



ok lets go through what we dido



i went to buy some boxes for aunty susan, went to the reject shop asian shop for some snacks, got some awesome almond cakes and those mamee noodles hehehehehe



had ramen which was quite nice, full all day cos i snacked all day and couldn't eat that much dinner :P



did a lot of browsing and was introduced to the concept of mycube...which has a lot of random random stuff, went into homewares and kmart :P



in kmart, ben and i were playing with a vortex and i got shooshed down by an old asian lady for throwing the vortex in the store :P



so after a while we decided to go home cos it was like 4 20 and all our feet were tired, great day though, i had lots of fun :D



and guava juice is nice hehehe

oopsies didn't post

so yesterday we had lots of fun :D

firstly i met up with elaine at the dent school at 11 and we went to buy some stuff...for lunch i thought i'd have a pie cos i half thought we were in a rush....we weren't spending nearly an hour and a half on lunch after meeting up with ben and helen hahaha

so i got ripped off at 7/11 but oh well

went to bioscience library and work on jenny's card, ate ice cream and watchedmost of salt before my laptop died...guess i shouldn't have used laptop earlier hahahaha

found a use for imitation leaf gold, the glitter gel stays runny for far too long and the car isn't overdone, it looked pretty good to begin with :P...now for the writing part of it :D

Robina

so today i went to robina for about 6 hours, robina is past the gold coast i think...or part of gold coast passt surfer's paradise

so we went and picked up aunty susan's father to take him out and we went and looked at shops or rather aunty susan and aunty lizzie went to look at clothes and uncle mark and i sat outside :P

i can say that david jones is having 30% off almost everything, witchery has a men's section which had up to 60% off items...it wasn't actually that cheap :P and there were lots of sales in general, gosh the gold coast is so much better for shopping than the city :P

for lunch we had a blend of things, i had some pizza, sushi, wedges and salad, awesome eh?

also had this awesome chocolate brownie and some waffles from roger bennet chocolate bar :D it was sooo rich and yummy hehehehe

recharged my phone today

slept on the way home and now i am going to do a few hours of chem, time to learn! :D

so anyway today was an interesting day i was away with the fairies for a lot of the time, daydreaming about midsem break.

so i went to uni and forgot my keys but i doubled back and got them, missing a bus but getting my keys - more important

got to dent school just in time, i was maybe 20 seconds late or so but that's alright close enough :D

lost terribly at foosball...and i mena terribly was up 6-1 then lost hahahahaha 6-10 other games were similar :P

gary has left now :( he however gave me a departing gift of working a bit on my assessment heheheh awesome eh?

ummm my drilling is awesome :D and my cavity filling abilities are pretty awesome :D

i however did stuff something up, i accidently put the amalgam out and assumed there was none in the capsule, how noob of me :P i did finish quite early since they told us we wouldn't finish on time, i went zooooooooooooom hehehe

lunch was funny cos i ate lots of food quickly :D

after i left the dent school with the intention of playing starcraft i bumped into irene and we talked for maybe 40 mins before i went home and carried out my intention. it got boring cos i kept losing and it was stupid how i kept losing so i got bored and it was boring.

that's about it today, didn't go happy hour, probably should have :( i'll go to the next one :D

Woot washing washed

So today was the day which my washing got done. if you remember the weekend, you would remember the wetness, well today was forecasted for cloudy and it was actually sunny in the morning, iun fact that is what woke me up and it told me to do my washing so i did my washing and it is done and its done and now i have 15 undies instead of 4 :P

ummm so the morning was a bit rushed cos i had to do my washing, which got done cos i did my washing in the morning cos it was a washing day to do my washing so i washed my washing.

hehehe

umm went to uni and walked in the lecture theatre..saw about 15 people, assumed i had gone in the wrong room or something...walked out, called ben he wasn't coming, so wasn't helen or sonya *gasp! so i went in and the room filled in over the next 10 minutes, til about 6 past 11, i suppose since it is the last chem lecture before midsem break that is sort of an excuse but not really i don't think oh well!

so then jenny came, good thing she did or we wouldn't have been able to do the group assignment if she forgot :P so after chem we went to get our papers and i got 17/30 :D that might sound crap but i did barely any study so yeah! i'm so pro, i love how i got a mark for writing no, that was completely joke answer and i got a mark for it :D:D

so we did the chem group work and i led the way in the battle against movement! so i pulled out 4 different coloured highlighters and highlighted away, that was fun. we read the report out loud and it wasn't awkward at all, because we all used our professional reading voices, the voices whcih are super annoying if you talk in it to someone with :D

so we did that for an hour, jenny ate while i read and i ate while haowen and jenny ate, i had a lot more food muhahahaha. so we made all the corrections needed and decided to add a bit more so that is what we did. the adding and formatting and stuff took another 3 hours, whcih jenny went home for :P

i spent an hour looking for the reference for the diagram i had found, i gave up and just used google images to find another image which wasn't as good but it was alright i suppose.

ummmmmmmmzzzzz then played form facebook games before coming home. yeah that was my day, hope you had a good day too oh loyal blog follower helen :P
